Adam Strug – Adam’s Songbook

Polish traditional songs – surviving solely in oral tradition, performed in scales older than the tonal harmony, which is commonly used today, and Adam Strug’s own songs, an expression of fascination with rural music, urban folklore, orientalism and minimalism. Both repertoires are linked by love lyrics.

Adam Strug – singer and instrumentalist, songwriter, composer of theatre and film music, curator and music producer, director and screenwriter of documentaries, radio and television journalist, populariser of traditional music, originator of the singing group Monodia Polska, which practices songs existing in oral tradition.
