Musethica is a musical educational project with a strong social character. Established in 2012 by violist and educator Avri Levitan, it already operates in 13 countries. It focuses on such education of young and talented instrumentalists that their interpretations of chamber music, in addition to high artistic value, are characterized by high communicativeness. Each Musethica session consists of fixed components: intensive workshops, during which a tutor designated by the Musethica program works with the participants of a given edition, and presentation of the prepared program in places where concerts are not usually organized, including nursing homes, hospitals, aid centers and educational institutions. The close contact with listeners and the opportunity to share impressions make it possible to feel the power of art as a way to communicate and convey emotions. The project changes the way of thinking about music on both sides of this communication: both in the audience and the artists.
The series of performances will be crowned by a final concert, which, following the example of previous editions of Musethica, will be held at Nowa Miodowa Concert Hall of the State Music School Complex No. 1 in Warsaw.

1000+ Concerts: Innovating Higher Music Education through Social Inclusion is an ambitious vision of change in the classical music sector: it trains a new generation of musicians to understand themselves as an integral part of society and take responsibility for bringing live music to those least able to access it. Through the implementation of the Musethica program, the Project re-introduces the practice of performance at the centre of young musicians’ development, emphasising the value of performance skills and audience engagement. Over the course of four years, ten European partner institutions join forces with over 120 social institutions — including hospitals, prisons, refugee centres, and schools for individuals with disabilities — to bring over 1.000 free concerts to a minimum of 40.000 marginalised audience members across Europe.
