Sebastian Gabryś
Sebastian Gabryś graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the class of dr Maciej Bartczak.
As a soloist he has worked with the Silesian Opera, Capella Cracoviensis, and also with the Movimento Music Theatre in his home town of Czechowice-Dziedzice.
Gabryś has placed second and won the Special Prize from the Opera School Mirula (Croatia) at the 15th Imrich Godin Iuventus Canti International Singing Competition in Vrable (Slovakia). Multiple winner of the Mayor’s Prize in the town of Czechowice-Dziedzice for his achievements in the field of musical culture.
He has taken part in the Young Talents Education Programme – the Opera Academy in the Teatr Wielki – the National Opera in Warsaw and also attended master classes with such teachers as Professor Marek Rzepka, dr Rafał Majzner, Professor Jerzy Artysz, Professor Charlotte Lehmann and Vladimir Kuzmenko.
His repertoire includes roles in operas by Mozart: Figaro, Almaviva (“Le Nozze di Figaro”), Don Giovanni (“Don Giovanni”), Guglielmo (“Cosi fan Tutte”), Colas (“Bastien und Bastienne”), Rossini: Tobia Mill (“Le Cambiale di Matrimonio”), Martin (“L’occasione fa il Ladro”), Donizetti: Malatesta (“Don Pasquale”), Belcore (“L’elisir d’amore”) and Puccini: Sharpless (“Madama Butterfly”).
In November 2017 Sebastian Gabryś joined the “Camerata Silesia” Singers’ Ensemble in the city of Katowice.
