The flow unit trio debuted on September 6, 2020 at the concert announcing the Warsaw Autumn festival. The assumption determining the directions of the band’s activity is the belief that advanced forms of contemporary music impose specific requirements on its performers, exceeding the skills of even the most skilled musicians, but sticking only to a more conventional repertoire. The purpose of the flow unit is therefore to establish performance standards at a level corresponding to the patterns represented by the best teams operating in this area. The ensemble performs the most important works of the newer and newest piano trio repertoire and supports the work of young composers. The trio’s line-up is also the basis for artistic ventures carried out under the same name for larger chamber ensembles. The first event of this kind will be the performance of Arnold Schoenberg’s landmark 20th century masterpiece Pierrot Lunaire, planned for December this year, along with musical commentaries by Polish composers.
Anna Kwiatkowska and Mikołaj Pałosz continue their duo cooperation, established in 2014. Its fruit is a CD entitled Aure, released in summer 2021 by Requiem Records.
