Graduated in the violin class at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw under the direction of Professor Zenon Bąkowski, renowned teacher and long-term concert master of the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warsaw.
Since 1977 he has been involved with Jerzy Maksymiuk’s Polish Chamber Orchestra – one of the most valued chamber orchestras in Europe and around the world. As soloist and chamber ensemble musician he has made many archival and album recordings of music ranging from the baroque to the contemporary.
He has made many concert tours, playing with the greatest conductors and soloists in nearly every prestigious concert hall around the world, many times playing solo parts and leading the 2nd violins.
He currently continues his concert activity as a member of the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, formed in 1984 on the basis of the Polish Chamber Orchestra on the initiative of Franciszek Wybrańczyk and Lord Yehudi Menuhin.
Paweł Gadzina was twice honoured by Ministers of Culture, receiving the Order of Merit for Culture in 1985 and the Order of Merit in Service of Polish Culture in 2004 and the Bronze Cross of Merit in 2015.
