In times of practically unlimited access to music in digital format and an overwhelming presence of electronic tools, a return to vinyl is a celebration of sorts, one in which we can immerse ourselves, that is inextricably connected with the culture of experiencing music.
The published vinyl record contains selected works from the double CD album released on the occasion of Jerzy Maksymiuk’s Anniversary. It is the quintessence of the style and repertoire of the charismatic Maestro and his beloved orchestra, whose international reputation he helped create. It is the history of a headstrong, often stormy relationship that has started 40 years ago and continues to this day.
The album includes works by Debussy, Prokofiev and Stravinsky.
The record goes on sale on 9 December.
The vinyl edition was preceded by a double CD released on 29 January 2016.
