The Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra would like to invite everyone to attend recitals by participants in the 17th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition. The concerts will take place daily at 7:00 p.m. from Monday, 5 October to Thursday, 15 October in the auditorium at 272 Grochowska Street. Admission to all concerts is free.
Starting from Saturday, 3 October, 78 young pianists will endeavour to achieve victory in one of the most important piano competitions in the world. “Like five years ago, we would like the residents of Warsaw’s eastern bank to see the participants of the Chopin Competition. We will invite a number of the most promising pianists, in our opinion, to perform at our home at 272 Grochowska Street.” states Janusz Marynowski, Director of the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra.
“Everyone who, for whatever reason, is unable to attend the competition audition concerts can visit us and listen to the music of Chopin live, played by the contestants. We organised similar concerts during the last Competition five years ago, and they aroused enormous interest from the audience. We hope to repeat this success again this year!” – adds Janusz Marynowski.
